Peace Scouts Organization - Arab Scouts


The Arab Scouts for Peace Organization is a youth movement that operates in Arab localities and mixed cities. The organization deals with the field of non-formal education in Arab society and conducts  multicultural activities 

.together with organizations from Israel and around the world


The organization was founded in 1956 and since then has been an active member of the Scout Association in Israel. It

 operates in about 25 communities in all parts of the country and holds activities for thousands of trainees. The organization believes in empowering youth, encouraging community involvement, and strengthening the value of volunteering, promoting the values of democracy, accepting the other and tolerance. The organization encourages self-realization and personality strengthening in adolescent boys/girls, in order to give them tools to deal with life's challenge


In each tribe, training and instruction courses are held for officials and teachers, seminars and enrichment, volunteering in society, marches on holidays, travel and excursions. In addition, the organization promotes the issue of living together in Israeli society and around the world by hosting delegations in Israel, participating in seminars abroad, holding multicultural enterprises with the Scout Association in Israel and collaborating with various youth organizations


Target population: children, adolescents, and young people in Arab society


:Division into Age Groups

Ages 5-8: Buds layer

Ages 9-12: Ofarim layer

Ages 13-15: Young stratum

Ages 16 and up: Adult stratum


As part of the organization's affiliation with the Scout Association in Israel, the organization actually belongs to the European Scouts area. Despite this, thanks to the high percentage of Muslim Scouts who are in the organization, there are many connections to the Arab Scouts area and from time to time the members of the organization are invited to conferences and events in Arab countries, as representatives of the State of Israel
